Meet Jaden Luatua

Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist | Founder of Roots

Jaden Luatua is a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist and the founder of Roots, a therapy service dedicated to helping children develop the foundational skills they need for independence and confidence. With extensive experience in paediatrics, Jaden has worked with children of all abilities, supporting their development in areas such as sensory processing, motor skills, emotional regulation, and social interactions.

Before becoming an OT, Jaden worked as a youth mentor and in youth forensic services, supporting young people to engage in pro-social activities and build meaningful connections within their communities. This background has shaped his approach to therapy, with a strong focus on relationship-building, practical strategies, and real-life skill development.

Jaden has completed DIR® Floortime (101), and LEGO® Therapy, and currently completing additional training in Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI), and has a strong passion for sensory integration and play-based therapy. He is committed to helping children navigate sensory and developmental challenges in a way that is meaningful, empowering, and fun.

Our mission is to empower children to grow in confidence and independence by building strong foundational skills through movement, play, and meaningful connections.

“When children are given the right support, they don’t just grow - they thrive.”

— Jaden, Founder of Roots Occupational Therapy
